Carol McIntosh's mind operates at high gears in both right and left hemispheres. As a strategic thinker and market researcher, she founded and has been a Principal in her own firm, Creative Planning for the last 18 years. As a creative person who is able to clearly visualize and conceptualize, she had a successful career in advertising, winning national awards for television campaigns, print advertising, direct mail, and package design for the 10 years previous to that.
At Creative Planning she has made use of innovative qualitative research techniques that are useful in predicting the future momentum. Her techniques also reveal the language and imagery that will best motivate a target audience, as well as facilitate strategic planning sessions and cultural insights within a population.
Her clients have included high tech companies such as Intel, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Tektronix, Iomega Zip Drives, as well as advertising agencies like Fallon McElligott, where she worked on the Prudential, and MarchFirst where she worked on BellSouth, Blue Cross, e-home, Electron Economy, MyPoints, Newbridge Networks, PageNet, Replay, Wellpoint and the Women’s Financial Network. She has worked extensively with energy and conservation issues for clients such as NW Natural, PGE, PacifiCorp, the City of Portland’s Office of Sustainability, Oregon Solutions, Climate Neutral Networks, and the Columbia Willamette Clean Cities Coalition on promoting alternative fuels.
